Moving along...

Things are moving along for Support the Stork, we've had donations rolling in.  I am excited to say that we have made international press releases for awareness of IVF costs.  OhSewCrafty has put up an amazing safari quilt for auction, as well as mommy/baby doll sets for sale and earrings.  I appreciate all the support, whether through donations or sharing our efforts to help build families.  We have changed from a quilt auction to a raffle.  Tickets can be purchased for $5 each.  Please contact Shelly Sommer or Heather Curtis for your raffle ticket number and send all payments to supportthestork@live.com through Paypal.  Thanks again.

I am excited to kick off this fundraising campaign.  This one is dear to my heart, not only having needed fertility treatment myself to get my three wonderful, crazy kids.  But to help my cousin, friend, and business partner make a dream come true.  Please, donate if you can, but share Support the Stork with everyone you know.  Everyone deserves the chance of a family.  I will be keeping in touch, with updates on donations, the quilt auction and other great opportunities for you to help build families!!  Thanks in advance for all the support and prayers.  And, if you know of a family looking for support for IVF, please pass along their information to us.  Thanks.

Support the Stork is a fundraising campaign started by Heather Curtis, co-founder of OhSewCrafty.com, to aid families attempting pregnancy through In Vetro Fertilization (IVF).  Curtis, having successfully conceived with infertility issues herself, is on a mission to help other wonderful couples build their own families.

Support the Stork is not only merely accepting donations for IVF couples.  The campaign is set to raise awareness of the expense of fertility treatments in the United States, which average more than $10,000 per treatment cycle.  Infertility affects approximately 6.1 million individuals throughout the United States.  Many families struggle with the financial aspect of IVF.  Support the Stork will offer financial aid to those faced with infertility and trying to conceive through IVF.

Support the Stork is setting it’s fundraising sites high, hoping to raise $20,000.  “The more money we raise, the more beautiful babies can be welcomed into wonderful families,” Curtis said.  OhSewCrafty.com is selling limited edition; handmade “Mommy and Baby” doll sets for $19.99, all proceeds of doll sales are going to the Support the Stork fundraising campaign.  An international “Support the Stork Quilt Auction” will be held in March 2012; all proceeds from the auction will be contributed to families facing infertility.
